ToggleCustomized Solutions for High-Quality Local Transit
Mongolia’s harsh natural environment presents numerous challenges for local public transportation, requiring higher standards for the overall performance and comprehensive capabilities of transit vehicles.
Mongolia’s winters are long and bitterly cold, with dry conditions and frequent snowstorms, and temperatures can drop as low as -40°C. Due to these conditions, the tendering process for these vehicles imposed stringent requirements. To improve urban transit and the city’s image, Mongolia’s Ministry of Transportation formed a special team to conduct an on-site inspection of Yutong’s facilities.
To address concerns about product reliability and stability, Yutong conducted thorough research on the local market and operational needs to develop a customized product strategy, offering its unique Yutong “solution.” Comprehensive product materials and the excellent quality of Yutong buses demonstrated Yutong’s strong manufacturing capabilities and technical expertise, earning high praise from customers.
Yutong designed and optimized bus models based on earlier research, ensuring they could handle Mongolia’s climate and complex road conditions.
When the first batch of vehicles arrived in Ulaanbaatar and debuted at Sukhbaatar Square, they drew attention from local media and citizens alike. The buses’ comfortable seating and innovative technology captivated everyone, receiving high praise from those who experienced the buses first-hand: “Yutong buses are not only visually appealing but also warm and comfortable to ride.”
Features of the Delivered Buses
The buses delivered are among Yutong’s most mature and mainstream models, boasting attractive designs, high capacity, and excellent load-bearing capabilities. To address extreme cold conditions, Yutong equipped the vehicles with 15 high-cold configurations and seven enhanced insulation features. Key systems such as braking, control, and passenger doors were designed with special structures and anti-freezing measures to improve cold resistance and ensure safe operation in extreme weather, protecting residents’ travel and delivering greater value to customers.
Refurbished and Modified Buses: A Growing Market
For many, purchasing second-hand buses is also a viable option. In recent years, our refurbishment and modification technologies have advanced significantly. We offer tailored renovation plans to meet different customer needs. For example:
- For African customers, we installed sliding glass windows and added seats.
- For Kazakhstan, we adapted vacuum glass and installed boiler heating systems to combat severe cold.
- For countries requiring right-hand drive, we converted left-hand drive buses to right-hand drive configurations.
Overall, purchasing second-hand buses is a cost-effective solution for many countries in Africa and the Middle East. Increasing numbers of nations are getting in touch with us, recognizing the value and adaptability of second hand buses.
